Day 1 ยท 31 Jan (Fri)
Arrivals, Towers & Aquarium
๐Ÿ Kicked off the trip with Aquaria KLCC โ€” the sea aquarium show was impressive, great pick as a first activity.
๐Ÿ™๏ธPetronas Twin Towers and KL Tower in the evening โ€” spectacular skyline views. Grabbed photos from the observation deck.
๐Ÿ›Ended the day at a local Indian restaurant โ€” hit the spot after a long travel day.
Day 2 ยท 1 Feb (Sat)
Electric Scooters & The JB Bus Ordeal
๐Ÿ›ดMorning highlight โ€” rented electric scooters to roam around KL. A genuinely fun and different way to see the city.
๐ŸšŒAfternoon: Bus to Johor Bahru โ€” a rough experience. Buses were significantly late, food options at the bus station were poor, pitstops were bad. Arrived very late and exhausted.
๐Ÿ˜ดChecked in and went straight to sleep. No energy left for anything.
๐Ÿ™๏ธ Johor Bahru
Day 3 ยท 2 Feb (Sun)
Legoland Malaysia โ€” Heeral's Day
๐ŸงฑLegoland Malaysia โ€” an amazing place for kids. Heeral had a blast all day.
๐ŸŽขAll the rides, VR roller coaster, water rides, 4D show, Lego shops โ€” covered it all.
๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จCompletely exhausted by end of day. Did nothing post Legoland โ€” that's the right call.
Day 4 ยท 3 Feb (Mon)
Pool Morning โ†’ Singapore
๐ŸŠEasy morning โ€” enjoyed the pool at the property. A good reset before crossing into Singapore.
๐ŸšŒBus to Singapore via the Johor-Singapore causeway. Smooth crossing.
๐Ÿš‡Picked up the EZ-Link metro card โ€” instantly fell in love with the Singapore MRT. Clean, punctual, affordable.
๐ŸจChecked into hotel near Little India โ€” great location.
๐ŸŒณEvening at Gardens by the Bay โ€” the Supertree Grove light show was magical. Then walked along Marina Bay Sands promenade.
๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ Singapore
Day 5 ยท 4 Feb (Tue)
Singapore Zoo + Night Safari
๐ŸฆSingapore Zoo โ€” an unparalleled experience. Sea lion show, bird show, animal zones โ€” all world-class.
๐ŸพHeeral loved every zone. The kids area with domestic animals and the water fountain play area were a big hit.
๐ŸŒ™Night Safari โ€” amazing and atmospheric. Exhausting but deeply fulfilling. Note: you can't cover everything in one combined Zoo + Night Safari day.
Day 6 ยท 5 Feb (Wed)
Sentosa Island Day Trip
๐Ÿ๏ธFull day on Sentosa Island โ€” the Lego Store, Symphony of the Sea water show, Sky Luge, Sensory Garden and more.
๐Ÿ›ทSky Luge was a highlight โ€” a must-do on Sentosa, especially fun with kids.
๐ŸŒŠSymphony of the Sea show was spectacular โ€” check timings in advance and arrive early for good spots.
Day 7 ยท 6 Feb (Thu)
City Day โ€” Temples, MBS & Clarke Quay
๐ŸŽฎChill morning โ€” visited a mall play area, let Heeral burn energy.
๐Ÿ›•Roamed the city โ€” visited the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple (Little India) and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Chinatown. Both beautiful and very different.
๐Ÿ’ฆEvening at Marina Bay Sands for the water fountain show โ€” gorgeous at night.
๐ŸปWrapped up the night at Clarke Quay โ€” buzzing riverside atmosphere, great way to spend an evening.
Day 8 ยท 7 Feb (Fri)
Slow Day โ€” Parks, Cycles & A Special Dinner
๐ŸŒฟJacob Ballas Children's Garden โ€” a wonderful, calm green space. Rented cycles inside the park. Perfect antidote to days of high-intensity attractions.
๐ŸŒ‰Strolled around Jubilee Bridge area โ€” easy, scenic walk.
๐Ÿ Dinner at Hardik & Rasham's place โ€” warm, memorable home dinner. Rasham was due the very next day with her baby boy! ๐Ÿผ
Day 9 ยท 8 Feb (Sat)
Last Night โ€” Hai Di Lao with Friends
๐ŸฒMet Alok & Anika for a final dinner at Hai Di Lao โ€” an exceptional hotpot experience. Service is legendary. Highly recommended.
๐ŸŒ†Final evening in Singapore โ€” a perfect send-off to an incredible trip.
Day 10 ยท 9 Feb (Sun)
Homebound ยท SIN โ†’ DEL
โœˆ๏ธMorning departure from Changi Airport. What a trip.
1
Singapore
Get the EZ-Link card the moment you arrive in Singapore. The MRT is one of the best metro systems in the world โ€” clean, air-conditioned, punctual, and covers everywhere you'll want to go. Beats taxis on most routes for speed and cost.
2
Singapore
Singapore Zoo + Night Safari = too much for one day. Both are incredible but doing them back to back is utterly exhausting. Ideally split the Zoo into a morning and return for Night Safari on a separate evening, or at least build in a long break. You will not cover everything in one go.
3
Singapore
Gardens by the Bay Tree Show โ€” go at night. The Supertree Grove light and sound show runs twice an evening (around 7:45pm & 8:45pm). Catch it after dinner โ€” the walk along Marina Bay Sands promenade pairs perfectly with it.
4
Singapore
Sentosa โ€” Sky Luge is unmissable. Check timings for Symphony of the Sea and arrive 20 minutes early for front-area standing spots. Combine Sentosa with the cable car ride over from Harbourfront for an elevated experience (literally).
5
Johor Bahru
Avoid the KLโ€“JB bus if you can. Bus departures were significantly delayed, food options at the bus terminal were terrible, and pitstops were poor. Consider the JB Sentral train link or Grab cross-border rides for a far less painful crossing.
6
Johor Bahru
Legoland is a full-day commitment โ€” pace yourself. Book tickets online (usually cheaper). Prioritise the VR roller coaster and water rides first before queues build. Keep the next day completely light โ€” you will be too tired to do anything meaningful post-Legoland.
7
Kuala Lumpur
Electric scooters are a great way to see KL. Rental is easy and affordable. Gives you freedom to explore areas that taxis skip. Best in the morning before it gets hot.
8
Singapore
Build one completely slow day into your Singapore leg. Jacob Ballas Children's Garden + rented cycles + a riverside walk gave us the best reset of the trip. After Zoo, Sentosa, and Night Safari, your body needs a day that asks nothing of it.
9
General
Book Hai Di Lao in advance. Walk-in waits are long. The service is legendary โ€” they'll paint your nails, give you snacks and activities while you wait, and the food is exceptional. Book for your last night as a celebration meal.
10
Kuala Lumpur
Petronas Towers โ€” book the bridge / observation deck tickets in advance. Same-day tickets sell out fast, especially on weekends. The KL Tower gives great aerial views of the Petronas skyline as an alternative photo spot.
11
Singapore
Grab is the best cab option โ€” and worth a monthly membership if you're skipping the MRT. If you plan to rely on cabs rather than the metro, get the Grab monthly subscription โ€” the per-ride savings add up fast over a week. Bonus: Grab Dine Out lists discounts at most major restaurants (10โ€“15% off meals). Check it before every restaurant booking โ€” it's often the same places you'd go anyway.
12
Singapore
Mustafa Centre in Little India is the best shopping stop in Singapore. Open 24 hours, it stocks everything โ€” electronics, cosmetics, clothing, Indian groceries, jewellery, souvenirs. Prices are significantly lower than malls. If your hotel is near Little India, this is a 10-minute walk and far better value than Orchard Road.
๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ Kuala Lumpur
01
Indian Restaurant ยท KLCC Area
Kuala Lumpur ยท Day 1 Dinner
First dinner of the trip โ€” familiar and comforting after a long travel day. Good option near the Petronas area for Indian food cravings.
๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ Singapore
02
Hai Di Lao
Singapore ยท Final Night Dinner ยท โญ Highly Recommended
One of the best restaurant experiences of the trip. Premium Chinese hotpot with legendary tableside service โ€” manicures while you wait, dough-spinning shows, activity kits for kids. Book in advance. Perfect celebration meal.
03
Hardik & Rasham's Place
Singapore ยท Day 8 Dinner ยท Home meal
A warm, home-cooked dinner with close friends โ€” the best kind of meal when you're travelling. Rasham was due the very next morning with her baby boy. A very special evening.
๐Ÿ“ Places Worth Noting
Clarke Quay
Night drinks + riverside vibe
Chinatown Food Street
Hawker stalls, local dishes
Little India Food Strips
Near hotel โ€” great for quick meals
